Vredesteins gravel segment offers a complete series of tyres that is suitable for all conditions. With the latest additions, the Vredestein Seta and Grezzo will broaden the segment and are perfect for the gravel rider who rides more on the road or, on the contrary, looks for challenges on the trails. The Aventura is a tyre for more all-round usage for the gravel rider who wants the best of both worlds.
With the Aventura we introduced a tyre that was a very good and well appreciated all-round test winning gravel tyre and still is very good in his class. Nevertheless, with the increasingly popular and growing gravel segment, it calls for more specialized tyres which are less universal and instead emphasize a specific application. There is an increasing amount of gravel riders who do not want to compromise on features, such as grip or rolling resistance. We developed two new tyres that fill in the gap that the Aventura lacks on both sides of the spectrum. We introduced the Seta, our fast gravel tyre and is the perfect choice for the gravel rider who rides mainly on asphalt but does not want to compromise on the occasional gravel strip during his ride. The tougher Grezzo is developed for more grip on trails and on softer or wet forest ground. For those riders who are looking for this riding style, the new Grezzo will do the trick. It opens every possibility of going where you wouldn’t normally go.
The test winning Aventura has a tread pattern that gives you optimal grip and a low rolling resistance. The double rows of shoulder knobs are positioned in a way they give stability and perfect feedback in corners. These specifications in combination with a 120 TPI carcass makes the Aventura the perfect tyre for riders that want the best of both worlds.
Asphalt and fast gravel lanes
The Seta, our fast gravel tyre is the perfect choice for the gravel rider who mainly rides mainly on asphalt but does not want to compromise on the occasional gravel lanes during his ride. It combines speed smooth riding for endless gravel rides. With its 120 TPI carcass and less aggressive tread, the tyre is specially designed for low rolling resistance. Thanks to the larger shoulder studs it provides enough grip to confidently ride through corners while keeping your momentum.
Loose sand and trails
The Grezzo is the perfect companion for when it is getting rough. With its coarser tread and more aggressively designed shoulder knobs it gives you more grip on trails and on softer or wet terrain. For those riders who are looking for this riding style, the new Grezzo will do the trick. It opens every possibility of going where you normally wouldn’t. The 44-622 variant has excellent grip and rolling resistance with its supple 120 TPI carcass. The more robust 50-584 version provides more toughness and could be the tyre of choice for bikepackers.
Tech
Both tyres can be fitted either Tubeless or with an inner tube and feature the proven TriComp technology. Here, the different tread and shoulder compounds are designed differently to improve riding characteristics. The center tread has a harder rubber compound with lower rolling resistance and the shoulder parts are made of a softer compound to provide more grip in corners. All gravel tyres are equipped with the special Sportex Protection Layer (SPL), a very thin but yet super strong layer to minimize punctures.
The AVENTURA SETA AND GREZZO are designed to match the latest rim profiles that are used in gravel. (23mm). The SETA is available in 700x38C and 700x44C. The GREZZO is available in 700x44C and 27.5×2.00”
